engine, transmission, rear drive shaft, transfer case and front drive shaft (if 4wd) pcm or carb, all accessories, headers, motor mounts, off the top of my head (there's more). your also going to need a cherry picker and a pretty good set of tools. since you think the 4.0 is a 4.3 you probably don't know all to much about cars, or at least explorers, so i strongly suggest NOT DOING THIS and either selling it and buying a 1995-2001 explorer with a 5.0 or just keep things how they are
sell the explorer you own now. save your time an lack of knowlage, an buy a explorer that has the v8 5.0l installed an drive it. how on earth you can think the v6 is a 4.3 makes me sick.
Lmao Its not his fault, but man you really need to look up your specs better ok 'd suggest havng someone who knows what they are doing because its not something you just do its like josh said you are changing your entire car when you cant just change the engine and call it goo so my advice would be if you have money to spend and not couch money but real money get someone to do it for you or just buy a newer year explorer you will probably be spending that much unless you have good connections.
