sounds like you have a fuel problem , see if there is a relay , check the fuses , ,make sure the pump has a good ground and if it's getting power and ground but it still doesn't work then you need a new fuel pump , there's a chance in hell that there is an access panel under the back seat/trunk and you won't have to drop the tank , if you replace the pump make sure it's swimming when you start it up don't run it low on gas

^^this. And yes, there is an access panel under the carpet below the back seat. Don’t mix up the fuel lines!! First take a rubber mallet and firmly tap the gas tank a few times and then try to start it. Don’t trust the pump to drive it if it works though — it will fail again. Don’t get the cheapest pump from rockauto..but check the part number online for reviews. They’re only 22-25$ iirc and then see if you can get a couple fuel filters from the same distributor. Also make sure you get a compatible fuel sock for in the fuel tank. Then google rockauto 5 off — and put the code in the “how did you hear about us” box. Keep us posted if you need anything else.

Nah..only 88-89 carb models had cam driven fuel pumps. 89 auto and 90-93 were all efi

I may be too late but... the first thing to try would be to jumper fuel relay bypass. The fuel pump doesn not start when you turn the key to the on position. It only starts when you turn the key to the start position and then if the VAF senses air flowing to the intake it sends a signal to keep the fuel pump running. By jumpering the bypass the pump will turn on and stay on as long as the key is in the on position. There is a wire with two leads that is not plugged into anything near the windshield wiper motor. Find it and use a jumper wire to connect the two leads. Then when you turn on the switch you should hear the fuel pump start. If this fixes your problem and fuel is delivered to the injectors you can drive the car this way but you need to find out what is preventing the relay from keeping the pump running.

Jump it from the relay wires to the connector by the windshield wiper motor?
