IAC broke

Asked by GuruH322S Aug 13, 2019 at 12:31 AM about the 1990 GMC Sierra 1500 C1500 SLE Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was cleaning my Idle Air Control Valve
today, and when I was putting it back in the
carburetor, it snapped off and now the
threads are stuck. Any ideas of how to get
the threads from the IAC out of the
carburetor?

There are ways to remove it, like using a center punch then drill out the center and use an extractor or easy-out to remove. Search online for some instructions.
