transmission problems

There are many factors that would cause such problem, however, to highlight the most common reasons: 1- Bad shifting cable (replace cable) 2- Shifting cable mounting bracket loose (adjust and tighten shifting cable bracket. 3- Internal shifting rod out of place or broken (need transmission work, worst case) If the car starts in Part and Neutral and not in any other position. reason number 3 is the most possible. Well i have a 1991chevy silverado 1500 4x4 wheel drive transmission 700r4 on floor won't go no where well puting in gear but jacked up back tiresoff ground and the tirers started turning real fast at first then flywh
