Rebuilding a transmission really isnt that hard. I just rebuilt my 904 transmission from a video on YouTube, and the process only took about a day. I recommend you dont buy a kit from a parts store, they usually dont have everything you need in the kit. Also, when you do the rebuild, make sure you completely remove the transfer case and housing so you can just focus on the transmission. You will need a special tool for the front pump on the transmission, and when checking out the front and rear clutches.. make sure you have the right clearances or the transmission will not drive right. Oh, and lastly.. make sure when you finish the rebuild you adjust the kickdown band and the low reverse band.

You also are gonna need a set of snap ring pliars, a set of picks(like dental picks) and a feeler guage
Wow! Thank you Yuri. I watched one video and the minute I heard him call out the parts I panicked lol.

Dont panic lol. The rebuild is gonna be easy. Oh and one mistake i made is i took off an E clip and washer from the valve body and this really strong spring and ball came out that didnt need to come out at all. Just pay attention to the videos and if you can, order a manual for it. Just wondering, what symptoms do you have with the trans?
