Transmission 4l60e 93 sierra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My transmission on my 93 sierra has 1st
2nd and D. When I shift manually from D
to OD seems like it's not going into OD.
Can feel it shift all other gears except
from D to OD. Also I can have pedal to the
floor and it doesn't downshift or won't
even hit the passing gear.

These transmissions only last about 140,000 to 200,000 miles depending on how they were driven and taken care of. But I would suggest you stopping at a trany shop to see if there is anything they can do with the shift solenoids.
spent money on remanufactured transmission shifts hard between 1st and2nd and i have no o.d.1993 6.5 diesel tried replacing t.p.s. same result
I have almost the same issues on my 96...all good till od..but no slipping ..I first notice it today and it pulls off in over drive but pulls like the e brake is locked down but not !!..truck has gears and 35s on it...and will fly so it feels like its got 4.11s..which is fun to drive but like 5 miles to the gallon..what gets me is sluggish od ..and no SLIPPAGE!! ..no shift..truck staying in drive !!!!..wth people ???
Buckbrown, sounds like the torque converter may be locked up. Also a shift solenoid could be bad. Best to get an opinion from a qualified trany guy.
