Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why won’t my headlights go on in my 1994
GMC Sierra 1500 sometimes I go on as the
car warms up but when it’s cold outside they
don’t go on

When problem is ongoing, check wiring at headlamp switch, red wire, hot all the time. Use a test light to check voltage on that wire? If no voltage when problem is ongoing, backtrack the circuit, several splices and fusible links. The headlamp switch has an internal circuit breaker, as it shows in diagram. When you turn on headlamp switch, yellow wire carries to dimmer switch. The problem could be almost anywhere? Use a test light, check voltage and ground for headlamp. My diagram for your model isn't very good, but, it's all I have.
