1995 GMC Sierra 1500 v8 Truck won't start. No power anywhere

Asked by migration_Degenerate... Jul 30, 2015 at 10:06 PM about the 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 K1500 SL 4WD Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

not getting any power. Changed to a
new battery.. Started fine. Next day
tried and same thing. No power.
Battery is completely dead. Lights,
radio, power windows ignition turn
over all don't make noise or come
on. Was thinking maybe alternator??
Maybe some power or ground?
Thing is I don't work on cars that
much.. So I just been looking on
YouTube.. But it hasn't been much
luck. Any advice or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You have a light staying on or a short in one of the accessories. If light is staying on check your vehicle out at night to see if there is a light staying on now the shorted accessories is a little more harder to detect. Have you had any problems with anything electronically lately on the vehicle ?

hi nice too meet you, you first step is verify the batt condition, if the batt is bad the alternator is bad, second step is charge the batt and star the car and verify the power for the alternator if is in 13.8 and 14.5 is good. if all of this is good you have one electric parasites.
