I have a 1995 GMC SLE with a 5.7 LTR 4WD

when I depress the clutch pedal it squeels like a stuck hog but will change
gears and stop squeeling when the clutch pedal is released , any ideas whats
causing this or what to do to repair this ?

If it only happens when you press the clutch its probably the throw out bearing. Unfortunately there isn't an easy fix to this. The engine and transmission will need to be separated in order to change it out. Cheap part, huge labor cost. If that ends up being the issue it's best to consider buying a new clutch and rear main seal while you're there. No point in changing the bearing only to have a worn clutch or oil leak a short while later. Keep driving to a minimum until you have it diagnosed at a shop.

Thank you 3kSLow-- unfortunately I was leaning toward your prognosis,I needed someone elses take on this--and I agree it's gonna be a knuckle bustin back breaker (no lift) thanks again ;)
