Sounds like fuel pump is bad. All because it ( the fuel pump ) is running does not mean there is enough fuel pressure on the fuel rail for injectors to operate properly. Test the fuel pressure at fuel rail. What psi is it showing? Also is it a vortec engine? If so do not spray anything in the throttle body. It is plastic and has spider injectors in it. If it back fires thru intake even just one little time you will be replacing all the injectors and the upper intake.
