Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1996 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. 5.7L V8
Sarts fine & runs strong. Engine sounds real good.
It shifts normal (automatic) but sometimes it just
dies for no reason. It's not at any specific speed or
under any regularly reoccurring conditions that I
can tell. I just drop to N, restart & shift back to
Drive without incident. Any idea? dies for no
reason. It's not at any specific speed or under any
regularly reoccurring conditions that I can tell. I
just drop to N, restart & shift back to Drive without
incident. Any idea?

Clean the Mass Air Flow Sensor with MAF spray cleaner, make sure the air filter is clean. Also clean the throttle body and the round plate, butterfly inside the throttle body. Also run some fuel injection cleaner threw the gas.
