1997 Sierra Won't Start, Won't Crank
My 1997 Sierra that all of a sudden won't start. Never had this problem
before. It sits most of the time, and I only pull it out to haul hay or garbage
etc. Yesterday, I had to pick up some equipment, and drove it about 150
miles. I stopped on the way to get gas, load equipment, and it started up no
problem each stop. As soon as I got home, I shut her off to unload, then ten
minutes later I try to start her up, and nothing. The console comes on, door
indicator alarm, headlights, the usual, but when I try to crank, I hear a single
click, then nothing.
The battery is only about 2-3 years old. The voltage is about 12.07V and as
soon as I crank, it drops to maybe .8V. I tried jumping it, but that didn't help.
Any suggestions?
