Alright guys. I'm searching for a crate engine for my 98
gmc ext. can step side k1500. I'm exhausted in the
options I have! So here you go I want to get at least 350
horse and 500 tongue. Has 4L80e trans. I plan on putting
cold air intake and programmer on. I have roughly 6 grand
to send!

I am assuming you are wanting a 350 (5.7L)? If so 500 tq. is not gonna happen. What are you going to use the truck for?

I agree with Tom, contacting Summit might be a good idea. Also 500 tq. will need approximately 500 hp. 500 hp will likely require a big block and be out of your 6 grand budget. Hp and torque are related and are always equal at 5,252 rpm....http://www.epi- eng.com/piston_engine_technology/power_and_torque.htm.
