98 GMC Sierra 5.0 SL 4wd

Asked by KLRDENVER Jan 11, 2016 at 06:52 PM about the 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 K1500 SLE 4WD Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Saturday morning as I was driving with my lights on, my dash lights, tail lights and
front marker lights went out. My turn signals all around, brake lights and head
lights work still. The number 9 20amp fuse keeps blowing. Any ideas on what's
going on?

1 Answer

Your tail lights and dash lights are on the same circuit. If the fuse keeps blowing then you have an intermittent short. Most likely at the tail lights. Look for damaged wires under the truck bed or at the tail lights.
