1998 GMC Sierra heat not working

I just bought this 1998 GMC Sierra .. and it i can
only get cold air  blowing out of the defrost.. no
where else and no hot air .. i checked the actuator
by the steering wheel under the dash(which i
believe to be the mode actuator from research)
and it doesn’t seem to move at all.. i have a new
one coming in tomorrow .. and if i put in the new
actuator and it still doesn’t work .. would you
suggest changing the climate control assembly?

First check your heater core to make sure it is connected and not by passed,if connected check your thermostat both of these will cause a no heat issue,then follow through with what you said.

I will definitely.. but as i said where the air goes i cannot change either but we’ll see what happens .. I’ll let you know

Ok so i checked everything replaced t-stat which was bad.. replaced mode actuator and nothing changed do you think it would be the climate control ?
