I have a blown up 5.3l in my 99 gmc Sierra  and

It's usually best to go with how the vehicle was designed , it's not impossible but some things won't match up like the computer . Maybe get a crate motor or rebuild the original . either way you're looking at $$$ . What's the condition of the truck frame ? Tranny ? Rear axle ? Is it worth it ?
