Asked by GuruF3MK May 16, 2017 at 11:11 AM about the 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed my bad fuel pump, also put a new
fuel filter, connected the new connector for it. The  
pump isn't making noise an/or sound of it working.
Fuse looked fine. Any help?

If you changed the wiring harness when you put new pump in,your issue may be the ground wire,s,there are two of them,body ground and ignition ground,swap them.

I have a black cable, purple cable, gray cable, an a black an white cable. Which would be which?

Switched them an still nothing. I think I might follow to wires to see if theres an open somewhere

How would I check if the fuel pump is getting power?
