02 gmc. 4.3l problems returning to idle

Asked by Starski Feb 01, 2017 at 06:26 AM about the 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 Work Truck Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck starts and runs great. Idles great. But if u rev
it when u let off gas and It returns to idle it drops
down and wants to stall. Some times it shutters
and picks back up to idle. Sometimes it stalls.
Always cranks right back up and runs
fine.replaced iac.

Try cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor that is in the intake tube running to the throttle body with electrical cleaner.

Just don't put carb clean on the MAF sensor lol, it will destroy it. They make a MAF cleaner.
