security light not on, but gmc 1500 will not start there is a noise from the cycliinder where the key goes in, my truck was hit and hasn't started since but will turn over, will run if feed gas..

Truck hit, have tried the security 10 minute on off stuff, but I do not have a yellow blinking light never did... however there is a noise after you turn the key to try and start that is like from the key lock.. Security ignition system?? how can I get my truck started... motor runs if you feed it from up front bypassing the fuel pump...truck was hit hard ran until I shut off never restarted.

Yes you were hit hard, They could be all sorts of thing wrong, but I would start with reflashing the security system, this must be done by the dealership
