Easiest way? pay a mechanic. Just kidding but true. Now.. You will need a wheel puller, they can be rented,.... Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable with an adjustable wrench. Loosen the belt tensioner with a socket wrench and remove the drive belt. Put a drain pan under the power steering pump to catch any fluid. Remove the pulley from the power steering pump using the special pulley tool and two combination wrenches. Remove the pressure hose from the power steering pump with a combination wrench. Remove the return hose using a screwdriver or pliers. Allow the fluid to drain into the pan below. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts with a socket wrench and remove the pump from the engine compartment. 5 Install the new power steering pump and tighten the bolts securely with a socket wrench. Connect the two hoses to the pump using a combination wrench for the pressure hose and a screwdriver or pliers for the return hose. Install the power steering pump pulley using the special pulley tool and two combination wrenches. Loosen the belt tensioner with a socket wrench and install the drive belt. Add power steering fluid to the reservoir until the level reaches the fill line. Connect the negative battery cable using an adjustable wrench. Bleed the power steering system to get all the air out. Straighten the wheels and start the vehicle. Work the steering wheel from side to side without turning it all the way to either side for a few minutes. Check the power steering fluid and fill again if necessary. Drive the vehicle slowly to check the steering and handling.
