Asked by Justinzavitz Feb 23, 2019 at 09:46 AM about the 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 4 Dr SLE Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 2004 gmc sierra that drives forward but rpms go up
and dont move until the torque converter gets full lock up
at around 4000-5000 rpm
Fluid is being burn and has a blackish color when drained
out. Tested all solenoids except the tcc solenoid for the
fact that i dont know how to test it beyond a continuity test
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction

Yeah Everything is pointing to the tcc valve in the transmission valve body. Does not seem to hard to replace. Have it all pulled apart. Just working on getting the clip out without taking the valve body off.
