dont know if you can,the daytime lights is a safty feature from the factory,
This is not a do it yourself item. Take the car (I recommend an Audi dealer) to a shop near you. The DTRL mondule needs to be wired in to your High-beams and you inj. The day-time running lights run throu your high beams but at a much reduced voltage. When we get car coming into our shop, it takes our guy about 1hr to install. I have seen him do it and I am very comfortable working on cars but I wouldn't do this myself. The cost for this varies, I have seen this get done for as low as 155 up to 750. If you are not comfortable with the Audi dealer some Canadian tire locations will do this (they also do the Canadian inspection, that you will need). but as you know it is a requierment of improting. If you go to this site they will have all you need to know about importing a car. The site is ==> http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html . Did you get your recall letter yet? You have limited time to get this car regestered here in Canada. Please read the info on the site, so that way you won't get blind-sided at the MTO when you go to plate your car. Best of luck, I hope this all helps.
This is a direct quote from the site on the steps needed: Passenger vehicles 1: Recall clearance letter 2: The vehicle must bear a manufacturer's valid U.S. statement of compliance label at the time of importation. 3: The Registrar of Imported Vehicles will mail a Canadian statement of compliance label to you after passing the federal inspection. 4: Valid alpha-numeric 17-digit VIN 5: Metric speedometer and odometer labels (provided by inspection centre) 6: Daytime running lights 7: Child restraint tether anchorage hardware kit 8: Child restraint tether anchorage point locations (refer to Admissibility List) 9: 8 km/hour bumpers (refer to Admissibility List) 10: French supplementary restraint system label for airbags that require periodic maintenance NEW: 11: If the GVWR of this vehicle is less than 10,000 lbs, and the manufacture date after September 1, 2007, it must be equipped with an electronic immobilizer system that meets CMVSS 114. Hope this helps, best of luck.
