Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was trying to take the starter out and forgot to
disconnect the battery and when I went to
disconnect the starter wires a spark appeared I
had finally got the starter to come out tested with
my battery and nothing happened then I went to
cleaning where the wires go and it started
operating right then went to go put it in and got it in
position and nothing happened not even a turnover
a crank but was trying to start before i went to
removal but the battery and the lights in a car is
operating fine what do you think that may cause it
to do that I feel that the spark from the starter
when I was trying to remove it calls a fuse or relay
dysfunction
