Thermostat won't open

I changed my Audi's thermostat housing because it was broken after changing it my car is heating and also the thermostat wont open. How can I solve this problem. also the temperature gauge inside the car isn't responding it always on C. I changed the temp sensor in the front but that didnt seem to do anything either. help please

did you not change the thermastat when you did the swap? this is the most likely cause. if you remove the housing its ussaly recomended to change the thermostat unless its a fairly new one.
