replaced fan relay, fans kick on and car wont start

2002 audi a4 1.8t, water got into where ecm is, just filled enough to touch
relay. i replaced relay and fans kick on car wont start.

ok thank you. but i never had any coolant issues. car was fine. until i went to start it next morning after 2 days of rain some water got into the box that holds ecm the 2 relays in the box i replaced.. would this also blow the fuel pump relay

More than likely, it’s also possible water damaged the ecm but not likely. Check the contacts and wiring to and from the relay. what I would do

I had almost bought an A4 that wouldn’t start. Turns out it was a relay and the wiring that leads to coils was cracked and arcing

Fuel pump working, cleaned all connections, when trying to start car fans go back on. Car cranks also
