Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Hi everyone. I'm looking to buy my first car and I
came across a 2002 audi tt quattro selling at an
auction for a buy it now price of 900$ It is running,
and the only problem it has is it was hit on the front
end. You can barely see anything, not even
scratches. But actually, there's another problem, it
has 195k miles on it!!! So, my question is. Is this
car going to serve me well. Is it worth the money,
or should I wait and get something else? It's
looking pretty good, so I thought since it has such
high mileage, maybe the previous owner has
already replaced things such as timing belt etc
Anyway, what do you think?

Not knowing any maintenance history on the car in my opinion is a worst case scenario. I'd steer clear of any 4#D just do to the fact that if there is an issue with the drivetrain it's most likely going to cost much more than a 2WD. Without a under body inspection there could be on this particular car you looking at damage you cannot see. My advice is keep looking. There are plenty of good used cars out there. Good Luck!
