eather beside engine at firewall or under car ,probley close to gas tank.

If I'm not mistaken, this may be one of those "filter-in-tank" setups. Many of the newer vehicles are going this way. Ask your Audi dealer service department, they will know right away. Most newer vehicles are going away from the serviceable external fuel filter element in favor of an in-tank element which is not serviced at regular intervals.
