I don't know about the Kia, but I can certainly recommend the Honda Element. My 08 has 51K and runs like a top. One of my coworkers has and 03 with a lot more miles and loves it and has had no problems with it.

To update my earlier response, my co-worker has 95,000 on his 03 Element and still enjoys it, as I enjoy my 08 with 51K. Hope this helps.

I have a fantastic 07 SC with 88K+ & rolling. Still as good as new. Quick & handles like a car! I think the cargo options provided make the Element about twice the capacity of a Soul. I've had a motorcycle (Ninja) in there The Soul has a cool look, but it's much smaller as far as driver/ passnger comfort & cargo. Element = WIN!!!!

Yup - Element - hands down. Hondas are made better in my opinion, and are just more reliable. I know of sooo many Hondas still on the road with well over 200k miles on them. Plus I like the Element because its so versatile. And you can move about anything in them. I bought a dishwasher home in mine! Awesome cars! I am selling mine, and as much as I need to, I hate to see it go!

Honda Element for sure. I loved my Element (recently totalled). My 07 EXP AWD had 118,000 miles and still ran and looked like new. Recently check up said she was good to 200,000 and I planned to drive until then. Like I said, she was totaled yet I was VERY lucky to walk away. The damage was extensive and the police said It was amazing I was not leaving in an ambulance. I credit my El. Would get another one in a heartbeat!

I bought my 2003 Element literally off the showroom floor in '03, and have been in love with it ever since. I've camped in it and there was enough room for a foam mattress, porta-potty, guitar and dog. Needed some cooling system work at 125,000 mi but I plan to drive it the rest of my life (I'm 70 now). I love the roomy cabin and comfy seats. Bought a brand new 2017 RAV4 and sold it at 5,000 miles because I missed my Element too much. A true story. Take care of it and it will take care of you!
