What might be causing Honda Element Rear End Noise?

Asked by evander May 11, 2012 at 04:19 PM about the 2006 Honda Element LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently there has been thud like noises coming from the rear end of my 2006 Honda Element.  It occurs when the vehicle goes over bumps, road expansion cracks, etc.  It's like riding on/in lumber wagon.  Noisy so to speak.

Most likely struts or strut mounts. Monroe parts should be less than $80 per side for entire strut.
