I recently noticed car getting louder

Trip to Kansas City my moter was pretty
quiet, half way there my red oil light came
on assuming it needed oil but it was full I
continued to travel my quiet motor now was
loud sounds like a diesel no check engine
light and 2days later a block away from
home car made this final noise and cut off
won't start. Please a long way from home!

Another one bites the dust! In other words your Hyundai's engine is now a boat anchor.

If the oil was full, the oil pump failed. Time for a new engine.

You said the car quit a block away from home? That is a long way?

I drove here from California and like I said the car was absolutely quiet and then more than halfway it started sounding like a diesel and now it drove here no problem but a block away from this residence in Missouri it made a noise like a pop and it cut off and hasn't started since when I try to start it it's a real quick crank but it doesn't start.
