No signal to the PCM which controls injection and timing.. scan it for DTC codes. so it ran fine before you changed the fuel pump?

DTCs are stored information about the vehicles control systems the computer records these diagnostic trouble codes (DTC)s and Yes, they are retrieved with a scanner as a code indicating areas and sensors in the control system that need to be inspected and or serviced. Confirm all electrical connectors are attached for the fuel pump too.
thank you for your help the fuel pump is driven off the cam and there is not any electical on the pump all i did was change the pump took out 3 bolts and 3 pipes that was all
can the codes be cleared through the computer

Hyundai Santa Fe Mk1 2.0 CRDi Diesel 83KW Fuel Injection Pump 0445010038 Bosch correct? Will not self prime itself, so if you did not bled the system correctly it will never start. By the sound of it there is air in the system between the tank and fuel pump, is the tank pump lifting fuel? To the high pressure pump to supply the injectors. If you run the tank low on diesel the car cuts out with fuel still in the tank and lines so that the system is never air locked. You need to go back and properly prime the system from the tank, through the pump and to the injectors.
is there a reset button somewhere on fhe hyundai
