Santa Fe won't start after fuel fill up

Could be a multitude of problems. Fuel pump may be getting weak, fuel pressure regulator could be going bad, weak spark, some vehicles will not run right if you didn't put the gas cap on tight. First check your gas cap. Make sure it's on tight and not cross threaded. When it starts, how is it running? Are the RPM's normal? Does it chug or hesitate? Is it still doing this at every start up, or just that one time?

purge valve solenoid/ purge vent/ purge canister... NEVER TOP OFF GAS!!! ruins evap system and activated charcoal from purge canister enters lines clogging purge valve solenoid, problem often causes fuel nozzle to "click" multiple times while fueling
changed purge valve this fixed the problem
was it the purge valve solenoid or purge vent/ purge canister? I guess 2 different parts - lol http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/dorman-oe-solutions-evaporative- purge-solenoid-valve-911-800/10017804-P# or http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-by-intermotor-vapor- canister-purge-valve-cp620/10101059-P?searchTerm=purge+valve+

thanks, I topped off tank, replaced cap securely. While trying to start engine was turning over but chugged a couple of times, after 3 attempts it started but sluggish and I had to quickly put vehicle in drive.
Hawk, do you have a check engine light on? If so, head to Autozone and have codes scanned. There are multiple things that can cause your condition. Anything from a bad ECT sensor, MAF, or a bad vacuum line. See if you can narrow it down with an error code.
I have a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and is having the same problem. Everytime I put gas in my car, it will not start. I took it to Hyundai and got a diagnostic and was told it was a Purge valve. I got it fixed by my mechanic, but I am having the same problem with my car not starting after getting gas. I told my mechanic, and he is saying that it is my fuel pressure regulator. I would assume the Hyundai knew what they were talking about when they said it was my Purge valve because of a code they were given from the diagnostic. Any suggestions?
it could be Purge valve Solenoid , I have changed mine 3 times and it solved problem but most recently I changed this part and a couple months later I had the same problem so now either that part was defective or its a different part that is causing the issue.

it is Purge valve not working optimally. need replacement. simple solution. get part as seen in picture here. cost about 49 USD. and replace with local mechanics. it is situated near engine Air filter on engine side of wall and takes about 1.5 hr to replace. your problem solve for life of car

Could. It cause the engine light to come on
Msnp, was it, in fact, the fuel pressure regulator? I have a 2015 Santa Fe with similar symptoms. That regulator - part only - is over $500.
