04 Hyundai santa fay Changed rear valve cover gasket and new plugs and now sounds like the fuel injectors on a deizel engine..Mechanic can find nothing bad with his code reader or scanner..Also new alternator but tried with belt removed no difference..Can yo help..

I'd take it back apart and see if you can notice anything that fell into the top part of the motor. or- maybe one of the electrodes on the spark plug broke off. This doesn't happen often but it can.

One thing when my mechanic checked the map sensor showed to much voltage but would that make it do that..Had it apart second time and could find nothing wrong or loose in there...What about knock sensor??
