Question type: Car Customization
I just picked up a Flowmaster series 40 muffler. What has to be done to make it fin on my jeep, being how it is much smaller in size then the OEM spec one. Can i do this with out getting a whole new exhaust system? Do in need parts welded in with an extension or can i just clamp on a peace of exhaust tubing?

Oh and i have the 318 V8
haha well your need a piece of pipe that is the same diameter on one side to fit the stock piping and the other side will fit your muffler. and yes.....you need to weld hhaaha
auto part stores will have the part you need one side fits oringal exhaust and the other side will fit the muffler and then all u should need is clamps no welding needed
Why restrict the exhaust flow w/ a smaller muffler?
Thanks or the help, I fixed this months ago actually, my original question was in october. Summit Racing sells a custom fit flowmaster kit, I have that and could not be happier. Thanks again for the help even tho it is a little late.
