Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo has
been starting and running fine until
yesterday. While i was out went to go start
my jeep and all i got was a single click, i
checked the fuses, spark plugs, and even
the battery, all are fine. I got it towed home
took the starter off and 4 hours later put the
starter back on and it started right up, but
when I shut it off and tried starting it again i
got just a single click. So i took it off and
had it tested and the starter is fine so now
im stumped on what the issue is?

its usually a bad spot on the starter winding and the heat from the engine makes it expand and not spin the cilck is the solenoid part of the starter ...also try cleaning the solenoid wire ..// but most likely you will need to replace the starter
