I have a 1994 Jeep, Grand Cherokee. How do I disconnect the throttle valve cable at the transmission?

unbolt the bracket from the valve body and tip it to unhook the cable wire from the throttle trans lever, this is done with the trans pan removed of coarse

It should pop off, straight up. the end ot the lever at trans is a ball. if you can get a pair of needle nose pliers inthere. go inbetween lever and plactic end. gently pry down on handles and cable will pop off.

I'm sorry, I'm on and off here, as I'm in the process of moving. Have you tried pulling transmission into low gear and try to take off? If it works, you have an internal transmission problem.
