97 jeep panel button

just bought jeep gc laredo no owners manual what is the button do next to the rear defog button do looks like a D hit button on the go bogs down jeep? i it someting to do with 4x4?

not sure on this,take to dealer,speek to service mananger,he should be able to answer this,

Sounds like overdrive, if you turn it on while not on a highway, etc., it will make the vehicle shift differently and feel boggy.
I have a 95 gc if I engage that button it takes it out of overdrive, it resets every time I turn off ignition, so anytime I want a little more pep when not on freeway I hit that button.
