It could be the fuel regulator that is bad. There are ways of testing with a fuel pressure gauge to determine if it is the fuel regulator or the fuel pump.
Usually the fuel pressure regulator quits working. On the 5.2 V8 it is located on top of the fuel tank and retained by a spring metal clip. Remove the clip and the two fuel Iines from the regulator. Place a flat pry bar under the lip of the regulator and gently , but firmly pry up until the press regulator removes itself. Install the new one in place and give it a sharp tap on top with a rubber mallet. it will pop into place. install the spring steel retainer and hook the two fuel line back up . turn the key to the on position several times so the line pressure can come up. then start the vehicle all should be good. If you have the 4.0 six the pressure regulator in at the front to the engine by the left front corner of the head. a really simple process to replace the regulation in that location. Good luck.
