Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo parts interchangeable?

Asked by Bfishead May 21, 2014 at 10:07 PM about the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son has a '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and is looking at a '95 Laredo (both have
4.0 straight six). Are the parts interchangeable? He wanted to buy the '95 for a "parts"
vehicle.

most of the parts should be, bu not all. i think the 95 is pre obd2, so computer and some sensors may be different but the drivetrain should be the same.
