Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Questions: 1.what is the mystery to the squeaky belt sound? 2.If all
the components associated with the water pump were replaced, (less
than sixty days ago) why the squealing belt? And last, 3. Under
normal operating temperature I thought the hoses should be under
pressure, firm to squeeze? Sounds like the water pump. Lubricating
the belt squelches the sound momentarily. According to research
there seems to be no difinitive answer. Idler arm new. Could even be
the Altenator. Can't say I have ever heard a bad alternator? "I'm
searchin."

The belt tensioner bearing can wear out, cause uneven wear and cause unduly sound and misalignment. You may like to inspect the condition of this bearing and measure the tension to see if it is in spec.....and get a new belt.
