the set of wires running from inside your driver's side door into the fuse box area, the BLACK WIRE is broken, easy fix. TIP; the wires are inside the rubber boot going from your door to inside your car (pull back the rubber boot to get at wires and add about 3 inches of wire to the black wire, they made it too short, that's why it snapped

These guys 'Chrysler Corporation' designed and built the Abrams tank. It was a stepping stone to the 'fire on the run',50MPH, rocket launch, GPS guided artillery platforms that we have today. My guess, the reeeally smart guys were working in the tank division. The newbies right out of school were designing wiring harnesses for the Jeep series. 2000 to 2018 that 10 gauge wire is still sinking all the current from 20+ power, control, and sensor lines. Please tell me the compressor solenoid is not sinked through this line!

I know this is 4 years late, but still relevant in the search. This issue had me worried because the way my remote, locks, and windows stopped working. So my jeep wouldn't start one day after I went to help a friend who ran out of gas... go figure. Starter wasn't working, shorted it heard it spin, turn key fired up. Few weeks later im at The gas station and, go to turn on the jeep, no bueno. Tried to short the starter, no go, had to call a tow, kept messing with the jeep checking relays and fuses, battery, Try shorting again, nothing. Sit and wait for tow truck, got hot lowered windows but they wouldn't work, tried to walk away and lock it, that didn't work. Here's why I was worried. Im thinking, self inflicted, I burned something when I shorted the starter, damn me! I had the window go out before, black wire, fixed, all good rear passenger went out, check boot, grey wire, fixed all good. This time tho the remote wouldn't lock or unlock, the button wouldn't lock or unlock, hatch wouldn't lock. FML right . Checked the black wire it was good, checked fuses, disconnected battery, that didn't work, CHECKED PASSENGER BOOT, ORANGE WIRE! Fixed, all good, door locks, windows, and remote.
