Grand Cherokee power window and door lock failure

Asked by Strackpi Jan 28, 2018 at 08:46 AM about the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just yesterday the power door locks and windows
stopped working on my 1999 Jeep Grand
Cherokee. The driver door will lock with the power
switch but no other door. The driver control switch
will lower and raise the driver and driver side rear
window but no other windows. The window
switches will not work on any other door either all
doors have to be manually locked except the driver
door. I would truly appreciate some help.

Sounds like the master control on the drivers door is shot. The drivers door is where the power is transmitted to all the other doors. Power runs from the drivers door to the passenger front door. Then from the passenger front door to the other doors, and to rear hatch. probably about $140 to get a new controller and remove the drivers door panel and replace the controls.
