Jeep GC temperature goes high in stop and go trafffic.  Tested fan by jump wire its ok.

It's good to know the fan will run but it also has to come on when engine temp goes too high. Apparently it is not coming on. The fan is controlled by a coolant temperature sensor, a controller, a fuse and a relay. Check those out too.
