Skipping

I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0. TPS went
bad. I replaced it and now after driving for a few
minutes it will start having random misfires on
several cylinders  But you can shut it off and
restart without even stopping  and it won't skip for
a few more minutes.  If I disconnect the battery to
clear the codes. It takes a good bit farther for it to
start skipping. Note I have have already replaced
plugs and coil rail.

Sounds like an evaporative emissions purge control valve issue. You should be getting a P0443 code if so.

I'm not getting that code. The only codes I'm getting is p0300 and cylinder misfires. And every time I clear the codes it comes back with different cylinders misfiring.

Took it to a dealer. The crankshaft position sensor was failing. The computer was reading a skip that wasn't there. When it tried to adjust that's when everything went crazy.

Yes I have a 2005 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7l engine when I start it up it skips got a code po172 and po175 any suggestions
