Jeep stall

Asked by GuruSCVKH May 26, 2019 at 06:01 PM about the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My jeep has randomly stalled out while driving and
occasionally while idling. So far I've replace the
cam sensor, fuel filter, and cleaned the throttle
body yet the issue continues. I've used a scanner
and have only gotten a code for my O2
sensor..could that possibly be the culprit?

Check your fuel pressure (60psi) at the Schrader valve on the injector rail. A common problem on this engine (4.0 liter?) is the crank shaft position sensor, code P0320. If the tach reading drops suddenly then back up when it stalls, it's that the crank sensor.
