It could be a that the water pump impellers are worn. Does the temperature drop when the Jeep is driven?

im assuming it has a 6cyl. eng. as 4.7 uses the p/s pump to run fan. the relay or fan is prob. bad. the relay is located inside ft.bumpercover under rt. headlamp. turn a/c on and see if fan comes on. if not, ck for power and ground at the fan connector at pass. side of fan shroud. if you dont have power to fan, odds are relay is bad. you can also hook up direct batt. voltage to fan with wires to test fan. to get to relay, you can remove rt. headlamp an cut a hole through the plastic UNDER the headlamp.( i believe it is part of the core support.) Make hole more toward rear of vehc. or remove the bumper cover.I hope this helps....
Mine started doing this. After checking it out, I pulled the air bleeder plug (1/2" pipe plug on top hose to engine) , refilled to the top with coolant. It hasn't done it since.
