Want to swap with a 318
performance engine.
What needs to be modified?

If you swap in an old style 318 you will Never pass smog inspections again.

That is great but I bet you could not sell it without an inspection. I would recommend you look for smog legal aftermarket parts for the engine you have.

Current engine has 215000 miles on it. I want to upgrade to a 318 performance engine in this We don't have to go through inspections to buy or sell cars here. I will probably keep this vehicle anyway.

Awesome! I guess you can build whatever you want as long as you don't move out of state.

Am i wrong or you didn't ask for smog problem with a 318 swap... why this guy keep talking about that? I'm having a 05 grand cherokee with bad 3.7. I can get a complete 02 dakota 4x4 with the 318 in it. I was wondering if the swap is a good idea... did you did it?
