Jeep belt

Im honestly not sure the belt looks to be in good condition but could be stretched. Ive checked the pulleys all move pretty smoothly idler pulley makes alittle noise but i figured why would it be a bearing if the sound goes away with water ? Also when i looked before with the belt spinning not the pulley but the belt on the ac pulley seems alittle wobbly and moving back and fourth while spinning
The ac pulley is normal but the idler pulley is just a problem waiting to happen replace it & the belt
Serpentine belts seldom squeal. When they do either they are worn out, the tensioner is bad, a bearing is bad or a component such as an a/c compressor has an issue. Replace the belt, tensioner and any idler pulleys and while you have the belt off turn the alternator, water pump and a/c compressor by hand to see if you find any tight or rough feeling bearings. Also before removing the belt make a diagram of how it is routed. Some of today's vehicles have very complicated belt routings that are really hard to figure out without a diagram. Belt dressing is a product that should never be used on a serpentine belt.
Ok so my local parts store only carries the dayco belt for 36.49$ are daycos good? Iv used one before and no squealing or problems
So even though the belt looks good i should replace it and the idler pulley?
If you have a boatload of miles on your vehicle it is good maint. practice to replace the belt, tensioner (spring gets weak or breaks) and the idler pulley / bearing assemblies.
Something else to check is belt alignment. Check the crankshaft pulley and make sure it has not loosened and moved forward. A belt out of alignment will squeal and the sometimes come off.
Ok thanks . Another question do i check my transmission fluid in netural or park? I noticed it was on the bottom cold mark . How much is that approx like 1 quart maybe ?
It usually says the procedure for checking the fluid on the transmission dip stick, but not always. Probably needs to be at operating temperature in neutral or park.
Your belt has been contaminated with antifreeze or oil. Remove the old belt and toss it. Clean the pulleys with soap and water and replace the belt. problem solved as long as you do't have a bad idler pulley.
Do i cycle through the gears or just put in park and check?
It shows full but then when i cycle through gears level become low?
