I think this may be "the death wobble". Do not be alarmed, my family has a 97' grand Cherokee, and every time we hit a bump, the whole front-end wobbled. We took it to a regular, reputable mechanic down the street (not the dealer). He told us what was wrong, fixed it and now it works great. We have a 1st generation grand Cherokee, you have a second generation so idk if this applies. Just wanted to share my knowledge. I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL! PLEASE CONSULT A REAL MECHANIC BEFORE TRYING TO FIX ANYTHING! The last thing I want is for a person to ruin their car because of me. I really hope this helps
