03 Grand Cherokee wiring problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.  I smelled what I figured were
some wires burning because right after the smell started, my passenger
windows, passenger mirror, and power locks all quit working.  My key fob will
not lock or unlock the Jeep either.  The driver side windows both still work
and the lock/unlock button on the driver door will only work on the driver door
lock.  I've already checked the boots between both the driver and passenger
doors and haven't found any bad wires.  Any suggestions on where else to
look would be helpful.  Thanks!

Just in case anyone comes across this question with a similar problem, the solution for me was the passenger door window and lock switch. I didn't take it apart but it was unmistakably the source of the burning smell. After replacing the switch everything worked again except for the key fob. Im guessing it will need to be reprogrammed.
